Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the independent provider that supplies those results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those queries. If you contact us, the message and contact details you choose to include are used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most hosted services, the site receives routine server-log details such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review aggregate patterns for operation and audience measurement. Cookies or related tools may be used for ordinary analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, replies to messages, and improvements to the reference. We do not sell a visitor list or create a personal profile of individual visitors.
Outside Links and Searches
Links may lead to Massachusetts or municipal record portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search services. Those destinations apply their own privacy practices to any information submitted there. Sponsored results are supplied by a separate company and are governed by that company’s terms and policy.
Who Processes Information
Hosting and support providers process the ordinary log data needed to operate the service. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the technical data described above. Disclosure is otherwise limited to situations where valid legal process requires it.
Security Practices
The service uses an encrypted connection, and routine logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or user profiles maintained by this reference.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor has sent us information, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where a visitor lives, privacy law may provide rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data held by a service. The Massachusetts research for this reference did not identify a single statewide comprehensive consumer-data deletion statute. Because we retain very little, a request generally involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant server logs, then removing information that can be removed. Use the Contact page to make a request. Massachusetts public records belong to their government custodian, so a request about the source record must go to that office.
Policy Changes
Changes to this policy will be posted here. Continued use after publication means the revised policy applies.
